DELTA AIRLINES TOPS NORTH AMERICAN CARRIERS SAFE TRAVEL SCORE IN APRIL 2021

JetBlue Airways Tops the Low-Cost Carrier on the North American Leaderboard

MAY 24, 2021: Safe Travel Barometer assessed initiatives of 49 North American carriers across the U.S.A., Canada, and Mexico in April 2021. Among them, four airlines achieved a Safe Travel Score of 4.0 or higher. Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines is the front-runner on the North American airline leaderboard with a Safe Travel Score of 4.1 out of 5.0 in April 2021. In the case of low-cost carriers (LCCs), JetBlue Airways led the pack with a Safe Travel Score of 4.0 in the same month.

Other proactive airlines from the region which feature on the leaderboard include full-service carriers such as Air Canada and United Airlines (4.0) each. On the LCC side of the spectrum, Southwest Airlines (3.9) descended from the top to be second in line to JetBlue Airways. While the other carriers to follow were Allegiant Air with a Safe Travel Score of 3.7, Viva Aerobus and WestJet with 3.3 each in April 2021.
