Findings Based on Safe Travel Barometer’s Assessment in February 2021

MARCH 22, 2021: As the aviation industry braces itself for the years of recovery to achieve the pre-pandemic levels, there exists an immediate opportunity to develop a sustainable model and shape the future of aviation. Airports continue to evolve and invest in infrastructure, to ensure the well-being of their frontline and operational staff and towards passenger experience. Amid these changes, we are realizing transformational projects, including and not limited to contactless airport passenger experiences and the use of cameras and sensors to streamline crowd management across terminals.

U.S.A.’s Philadelphia International Airport leads the baton in North America with a Safe Travel Score of 4.3 out of 5.0. Among the 169 airports evaluated in North America, 12% achieved a Safe Travel Score of 4.0 and above. Prominent among them, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Boston-Logan International Airport, and Newark Liberty International Airport achieved a rating of 4.3 each.
